Julie Oldfield will be showing her work this year at the Courtyard Gallery, Lyme Regis on the 4th March for two weeks. This is Julie’s 23rd year exhibiting her paintings around the world and her fourth year exhibiting at the Town Mill Galleries.
In this exhibition Julie is exploring boundaries. These are experimental paintings influenced by travels around the world:
- travelling beyond the familiar;
- pushing and illustrating boundaries;
- landscape and social interaction to the landscape.
Mixed media paintings using canvas, board, metal and copper sheets. Also materials from subject locations incorporating oxidizing and weathering.
Julie has just returned from India where she developed a new area of her work using copper in which acid is used to expose shimmering and reflecting light.
Open from 10:30 til 5 daily, free admission.
