This is the sixth year of our always-popular exhibition “Colour Line & Thread”, which features work by four local artists.
- The wonderful textile images by Sue Calder, who is drawn to the tactile qualities of stitch on fabric and who enjoys deceiving the eye using fabric as a medium.
- John Calder creates amazing abstract sculptural forms, using natural materials, such as wood, bark and willow, that he finds on his land.
- Pete Hackett sees the unusual in the world around us, producing striking and remarkable photographs of his personal viewpoint. He also loves to create thought-provoking sculptures from discarded materials he finds on his travels.
- Hilary Buckley is influenced by art deco in her work and she experiments with a variety of media, and most recently she has enjoyed using oils. Her love of colour and pattern comes through in her vibrant paintings, emphasising the shapes and contours of the local landscape.
Open 10-5 daily, free admission.
