Paintings, Drawings and Stained Glass
Following two successful exhibitions in Beer, artists Ann Pengelly and Elizabeth Richie will be exhibiting their latest work at the Courtyard Gallery in October.
Ann Pengelly is a stained glass expert specializing in leaded windows, glass etching and traditional painted glass panels. This will be a rare opportunity to see some of Ann’s large windows and doors which can usually only be viewed in the homes they were commissioned and designed for. Ann will also be showcasing some exciting 3D pieces for the exhibition. Examples of her work and details of her regular courses and workshops can be viewed at: www.annpengellystainedglass.co.uk
Elizabeth Richie will be showing her new collection of paintings created using an intriguing mixed media technique that she has been exploring. She will also be exhibiting some large charcoal drawings, which she calls ‘Doodle Dancers’. The drawings develop as she ‘takes a line dancing’ on the paper creating abstract movement and images of dancing figures. This sense of fluid movement comes naturally to her as she was a professional dancer, and these drawings are an expression of her love of dance and movement. A member of Town Mill Arts, Elizabeth’s prints and cards are available at the Town Mill Galleries.
Open daily 10.30-4pm, free admission
