Art & Craft in the Tent, Monday 4th May

We have the opportunity to have space in the Marquee on Lyme Regis beach after the Fossil Festival on Bank Holiday Monday, 4th May. Last year was extremely busy and the atmosphere was great – there are food stalls at one end of the marquee and fossil stalls, etc. at the other.

Tables (which are provided) are £25 each and we normally set up from 8am, opening at 10am and run until 4.30-5pm.

If you would like a space (perhaps you would like to share with someone), would you please let hilary@dorset-artist.co.uk know ASAP and by 15th April at the latest, as we have to let Kimberly, who runs the Fossil Festival, know how much space we need.

Eat cake in a good cause!

On April 8th at 10.30 there is a cake sale at the Lyme Regis museum to help generate funds for the new extension, the Mary Anning Wing. It also marks the launch of the HUG campaign (Help Us Grow) which is being driven by some of the museum’s lovely volunteers.

Come along and eat cake (you know you want to…) and in doing so, help build a fantastic new facility for tourists and locals alike. It’s a win-win situation…

Workshop and social, Sunday April 26th from 2-4pm

This is designed to help those many TMA members who have yet to make the most of the TMA web site to get their page set up. Have a look here to get some inspiration: TMA Artists. You’ll need to bring along at least one image to be featured at the top of your page, which will have to be at least 1040 pixels wide – anything off a phone or digital camera should be fine, as long as you haven’t resized it smaller to send via email. And the text that you want to go on the page. Bring on an ipad, laptop, memory stick or similar, or email everything in advance to lois@lois.co.uk. There won’t be facilities to transfer straight off your phone!

If you are interested, please RSVP so we can have enough people to help on the day. Other members are welcome to come along too: people who’ve already mastered the web site might like to assist those who haven’t yet :-).
