In this exhibition, Michael Stride has taken inspiration from the anticipation we feel as we travel towards the sea and from his love of accidental landscapes that have been shaped in part by man or his past endeavours.
‘A well worn track through trees,’ he explains, ‘or a glimpse of a building or the natural symmetry of small rocks cast by a fast flowing stream both caught by sunlight on their edges.’
His paintings, drawings and prints of the Jurassic Coast, of railways and of seas further afield all convey this harmony with nature.
Michael will be joined by guest artist Jonathan Bingham.
Open daily; 10.30-4.30. Free admission
