Carolyn King exhibition in Bridport till 17 July

At the Bridport Arts Centre from 17 June 2014 – 17 July 2014, open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00-16.00.

Carolyn’s work with mosaic sculptures have inspired her children’s stories, which are illustrated in the age old traditional medium of egg tempera and pencil. She is now experimenting with puppetry as an additional storytelling medium which is informing her artistic practice in new way. The alternating crossovers from 2 to 3D is for her an essential part of keeping the work fresh.

Carolyn has a studio in Lyme to be near her friend Ivor the Ichthyosaur and is working on new paintings and a new story. Visitors always welcome!

Carolyn will be reading from her book The Fish Lizard of Lyme on Friday 27 June, 4pm. Suitable for children 6+. Free.
